Just like you, we're all individuals at Windsor Accountancy with likes and dislikes, stuff we're good at and some stuff we simply excel at. We all have individual aspirations but we share common goals and that makes us a strong team with a great work/fun ethic.

Geoff Dowling FCCA ACMA ACIS

Managing Director

The Serious side:

Geoff qualified in 1992 and has worked for medium to large multi-national companies. Having worked in Dublin, Bermuda and London he founded Windsor Accountancy in 2002 and has overseen the rapid growth to date. Geoff is responsible for new business development, assisting start-up and established businesses on a day-to-day basis and advising clients on tax saving strategies.

The Fun side:

Likes Working on my golf handicap, ski-ing, football (just watching these days !) and Marbella!

Dislikes Mondays! traffic jams and slow golfers!

Stephanie Roberts BSc (Hons) ACCA

Client Services Manager

The Serious side:

Steph graduated with a degree in Mathematics from Glasgow University and spent several years working in the hospitality sector before joining us in 2009 as a trainee accountant. Steph rapidly progressed to complete her exams and became a fully qualified ACCA member in 2014. As Client Services Manager Steph oversees the client accounts department, workflow planning and practice management in addition to managing her own portfolio of clients.

The Fun side:

Likes Snowboarding, sleeping and chocolate.

Dislikes Running out of chocolate.

Alison Brown CAT

Client Account Manager

The Serious side:

Alison first joined us in 2010 when she relocated to the local area from the midlands. With over 15 years of financial accounting and tax experience gained in both practice and industry Alison is responsible for managing her own portfolio of clients providing day-to-day support with management accounts, VAT, corporation tax and various accounting matters.

The Fun side:

Likes Eating chocolate, big fast cars and being a big kid with her little boy.

Dislikes The M4 in rush hour and wrinkles.

Leigh Hills CTA ATT

Tax Manager

The Serious side:

Leigh joined WA in 2014 having spent over 15 years at a local practice in their tax department as assistant to the tax partner. Leigh is a qualified chartered tax advisor (CTA) and taxation technician (ATT). Leigh is responsible for preparation of tax returns and providing tax advice and planning for all personal tax clients.

The Fun side:

Likes Spending time with her son, Ross; Sherlock Holmes (the literary character, the mysteries, the wit and of course the brilliant Benedict Cumberbatch) and dancing the night away.

Dislikes Her dodgy knees, which have seriously impeded her chances of appearing on Strictly Come Dancing; the way the passing of time quickens as you get older and egregious punctuation, particularly the much-maligned and often abused apostrophe!

Jessica Lester

Client Manager

The Serious side:

Jess joined us in 2012 as a trainee accountant having just completed her A Levels. She has passed a number of her professional exams and is now a part-qualified member of the ACCA. In addition to managing a number of smaller clients Jess is also responsible for setting up new companies and related company secretarial administration services, Vat returns, bookkeeping and management accounts.

The Fun side:

Likes Holidays, clubbing, Festivals, shopping, cars, gym, FOOD, football - Chelsea.

Dislikes umm studying Zzzzzz, people that think it's Christmas in October! Having to get her car washed regularly because it's white!

Rachel Hine LLB (Hons) AAT

Senior Client Manager

The Serious side:

Rachel joined Windsor Accountancy in January 2015 following two years of training at Baker Tilly. She graduated with a degree in Law with Criminology (LLB) from Keele University in 2007. Rachel is in the final stages of her ACCA examinations, having successfully completed her AAT qualification in 2014. She has a wide range of knowledge and experience in the preparation of accounts for businesses of many different types and sizes. Rachel is responsible for preparing statutory and management accounts, corporation tax and VAT returns for clients in addition to providing general accounting and systems advice.

The Fun side:

Likes Baking, cycling, running and travelling

Dislikes People who can’t park properly, rude people and rain

Roxanna Lee CIPP Dip

Client Payroll Manager

The Serious side:

Roxi joined WA in early 2014 to set up our expanding new client payroll services department. A member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals, Roxi has been managing payrolls for both small and large companies over the last 15 years and is well equipped to deal with all client payroll queries whatever their size.

The Fun side:

Likes Reading, cycling and nice hair

Dislikes Having her hair done

Cerys Murphy

Team Secretary

The Serious side:

Cerys joined us in 2013 as team secretary, receptionist and PA to Geoff. Cerys is first point of contact for clients when making appointments and visiting the office and is always on hand to greet clients and make a nice cup of coffee! Cerys provides secretarial and administrative support to the team.

The Fun side:

Likes Cara Delevingne, fashion trends, drawing and painting, keeping fit and taking part in events such as Tough Mudder, Nuts Challenge etc to raise money for charity!

Dislikes Flying, cooking, being cold, fish, polystyrene or the noise it makes and unpainted nails!

Conor Dowling BA (Hons)

Client Manager

The Serious side:

Conor is an Accounting and Finance graduate with over 3 years experience in public practice including 2 years at a UK top 20 firm. His key responsibilities are managing a small portfolio of clients, annual statutory accounting and corporation tax matters and management accounts for a number of our key clients. Conor is student member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and is currently in the later stages of completing his ACCA qualification.

The Fun side:

Likes Football, skiing, music festivals and Game of Thrones!

Dislikes Early starts!

Jennifer Grange BA (Hons) MA PhD

Office Manager & Team Secretary

The Serious side:

Jenny graduated from Reading University in 2009 with a PhD in History of Art having previously completed a Masters at Reading and a degree at Warwick University. She has 6 years experience in the commercial sector providing excellent secretarial and administrative support as well as office manager responsibilities. Jenny joined Windsor Accountancy in 2015 and is responsible for running the office and keeping the team organised.

The Fun side:

Likes Dogs, anything to do with ancient Rome, baking and going on holiday. LOVES Minions (from the Despicable Me film).

Dislikes Mushrooms, Olives, Mustard and Horseradish sauce - yuck!

Michelle Pritchard BSc (Hons) MR

Finance Manager

The Serious side:

Michelle graduated from Cardiff University in 1996 with a BSc (Hons) in Accounting. She has also studied towards her professional exams and is currently at the CIMA Intermediate level. Michelle has spent three years in practice including a year in the UAE undertaking company audits. More recently she has worked in the commercial sector working as a Management Accountant/Senior Analyst. Within Windsor Accountancy, Michelle is responsible for the Company’s Accounts and a select number of client accounts.

The Fun side:

Likes Spending time with my family, horse riding, skiing and watching movies (especially Sci Fi).

Dislikes Traffic jams and rude people!

Sarah Walker

Marketing Consultant

The Serious side:

Sarah started working with us at the beginning of 2014. With 25+ years marketing experience she has been instrumental in the development of our new website and her strategic advice, marketing plans and ongoing support ensures we continue to develop innovative and creative ways to reach our business goals.

The Fun side:

Likes Competing her horse and watching her son compete at BMX racing

Monique Holtman BA (Hons) Journalism

Social Media Executive

The Serious side:

Monique has a BA hons degree in journalism and has worked with Windsor Accountancy since 2013. She researches and writes our website blogs, and posts as well as managing our social media presence - no two days are ever the same for Monique.

The Fun side:

Likes The gym, drinking cocktails on the beach and cats (she only has one so she's not a crazy cat lady!)

Dislikes Being cold and mushrooms

Julia Gambold FCCA CTA TEP

Tax Consultant

The Serious side:

Julia qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser in 1991. In 2002 she founded River Thames Accountancy Ltd and now provides tax consultancy services and support to Geoff and the rest of the team at Windsor Accountancy. As well as enjoying dealing with all the different aspects of a client's business affairs, she is the Branch Treasurer and a Committee Member of the Thames Valley Branch of the Chartered Institute of taxation. www.riverthamesaccountancy.co.uk

John A Shearer AIIT

VAT Consultant

The Serious side:

John has specialised in VAT since its introduction to the UK and spent many years with HMRC in VAT control/training and fraud investigations. Having worked as a VAT specialist for several well-known firms, John now provides Windsor Accountancy with an expert, high quality, professional and responsive service. If there is ever anything we need to know about VAT, John always provides the answers as well as solutions to high-level VAT issues.

Mark Blackmore BSc (Hons) FPC

Financial Advisor - Ergo Wealth Management

The Serious side:

After gaining a degree in Mathematics, Mark worked in the City for two years whilst gaining his Financial Adviser qualifications. After qualifying in 1997, he spent the next seven years growing a prestigious practice until he relocated from London to Buckinghamshire. Mark has been providing specialist investment and pension advice to Windsor Accountancy clients since 2009.

Rachel Brabbins BSc (Hons) DipPFS

Financial Advisor - Ergo Wealth Management

The Serious side:

Rachel started her career as a Financial Adviser at Lloyds TSB in 2004 where she quickly acquired her Financial Planning Certificate and gained client facing experience. Rachel has recently completed her Diploma in Financial Planning and now works within The Ergo Wealth Management Team providing technical, paraplanning and PA support to Mark Blackmore and assisting Windsor Accountancy clients.

Heather Mills BSc (Hons) FCCA

Accounts Senior

The Serious side:

Heather is a graduate in molecular biology and gained her FCCA designation in 2013. Heather joined WA in early 2016 and comes to us with over 11 years experience with a medium size local firm where she was an audit and accounts manager. Heather is responsible for client statutory accounting and file reviews.

The Fun side:

Likes Baking, Eating out and spending quality time with her 2 young children

Monika Wagner BSc (Hons)

Accounts Manager

The Serious side:

Monika joined us in February. Monika studied at the Cracow University of Economics and has Bachelor's Degree in Banking and Finance. Monika is in the process of completing her AAT qualification. She is responsible of our clients bookkeeping, VAT Returns, Credit Control, sales and purchase department and payroll.

The Fun side:

Likes Travelling, watching movies, skiing and ice skating, Tennis.

DislikesBad weather, Traffic jams.

Lauren Tatnell

Client Manager

The Serious side:

Lauren studied A-Level Mathematics at Strodes College and joined us in 2015. Lauren is in the final stages of her Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification and once completed will progress towards her ACCA qualification. Lauren manages a number of our key clients providing bookkeeping support and management accounts. She also looks after our director payrolls and produces annual statutory accounts and tax returns.

The Fun side:

Likes Classic cars, Cornwall, drinking coffee and eating chocolate!

DislikesSlow drivers, being late and grumpy people!

Christine Harajda

Office Manager

The Serious side:

Christine joined in 2016 and has many years experience as a Personal Assistant at Director level, and most recently worked as a sales/customer service advisor. Christine is responsible for the daily running of the office, and providing PA duties for Geoff. Christine also supports the accounts and tax team with administration duties.

The Fun side:

LikesShopping, dining out and travelling.

DislikesParking, and waiting in queues.

Lauren Russell

Accounts Assistant

The Serious side:

Lauren is the youngest member of the team and joined WA in 2016 on completion of her A-Levels at Waingels College. Lauren is currently studying towards her AAT qualification. She is responsible for client bookkeeping, VAT returns, internal reporting and assisting the rest of the team on various accounting matters and projects.

The Fun side:

LikesGoing to the gym, shopping, playing football.

DislikesClowns, early mornings and bad drivers.
